Typical of this style, the Olson-Watt Residence features symmetry, a hipped roof and a square plan. The front façade features a full verandah with column supports that is capped with an upper balcony with gabble. The home is of timber frame construction and is clad in clapboard siding and shingles.
The original resident was Ingebrigt Olson, who was a farmer and lived in the house until 1917. The second and more well-known resident was William Gladstone Brown, said to be a descendent of William Gladstone, Prime Minister of England from 1868-1874. After moving to Edmonton, Brown began a construction business with William Hargrave called Brown Hargrave.
